Meet the photographer
Fondly called 'Ani' by his friends, Anindya Majumdar is an award-winning documentary and travel photographer based in Kolkata, India. He has completed 'Diploma in Photography' from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, India ( affiliated to University of Calcutta). Presently, he is working as an official photographer for South Eastern Railway, Govt of India.

An untiring traveler and avid observant, Anindya (pronounced as "on-in-though") passionately documents the world around him- from natural grandeurs like Himalayan mountains to colorful cultural extravaganzas like Kumbha Mela fair; and everything in between- through visual stories, often going beyond the comfort zones.

Anindya serves as a mentor in 'Diploma in Photography' course at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, India (affiliated to University of Calcutta) and in 'Basic Photography' course at Chhayapath Calcutta, India that hosts photographic courses uninterruptedly for last 40 years.
​
He acted as jury member for Russia-India Cultural Exchange Photo Exhibition 2021, Srijan All India Digital Photo Contest 2021 and SS Foto Awards 2022.
​
As a photographer and author, he is regular contributor to various magazines since 1995, and presently authoring a series on 'Travel photography' for Bhraman, one of the largest circulating travel magazines in India.

Anindya has been conferred with the coveted international photographic distinctions 'Associate of Royal Photographic Society' (ARPS) from Royal Photographic Society, Great Britain and 'Excellence FIAP' (EFIAP) from Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique, a partner of UNESCO.
